Adding Your Vitamins to Your Favorite Foods: How to take your vitamins without swallowing them whole

Ever since I was a child, I never liked to take my vitamins. As a matter of fact, the only way that I could even deal with the after taste was by taking them as gummies. I can bet that there are plenty of other people out there who feel my pain and hate having to take their vitamins also. Whether it be for the taste or just because they can’t stand having to remember to take them, vitamins can be a nuisance. At the same time, I know that if you want to be healthy, taking your vitamins is a necessity--especially when it comes to growing healthy tresses. Therefore, I got a little free game for you. Take a look below at four creative ways to get your vitamins into your system.

How to Take Your Vitamins: Juicing

Juicing is one of the best ways to take your vitamins because they are so simple to take on the go. By now, you’ve probably heard about all the benefits of juicing, so I won’t go into much detail. What I will say is that next to smoothies, juicing is by far the simplest way to add in extra vitamins without having to worry about the taste. Just pop open your capsule after you finish juicing, shake it up, and enjoy.

How to Take Your Vitamins: Smoothies

The beauty of smoothies is that you actually might get to feel full or replace a whole meal depending on what it is that you put into it. Smoothies are a more filling way to take your vitamins and can be taken just as easily as the juices.

How to Take Your Vitamins: Pasta

Did this one shock you? Well believe it or not it’s a great way to take your vitamins because of the fact that the tomato cancels out any taste of the actual vitamins. All you have to do is sprinkle the capsule on top of the sauce on your plate and dig in. You can also sprinkle the ingredients into other sauces like alfredo or pesto.

How to Take Your Vitamins: Soup, Dips & Chili

Last but not least, you have your beloved soups and chili. When you’re making soup, dip or chili, it’s easy to dump everything in there except for the kitchen sink. Why not make your vitamins one of the things that you dump in? The reason that soups and chilis are great bases for vitamin-taking is that the taste is already going to be potent. Think about how long it takes the seasonings to simmer when you’re making a soup, dip or chili. Do you really think that a little vitamin capsule is going to take away from that taste? Trust me, it won’t. Just like you poured your capsule into your serving of pasta, you can do the exact same thing in your bowl of soup or chili.

As you can see, adding your vitamin to your food regimen doesn’t have to be difficult. Other ways include adding it to a cup of tea, coffee or yogurt. What other ways do you make sure you get your vitamins in? Tell us in the comments!
